  • 24211767 PTE GARY ALBERT BARLOW 1 QLR

Prior to my first tour I was told about a lad being separated from his patrol and being shot in Belfast. I never knew, until I joined NIVA, that PTE Barlow 1 QLR, my first Regiment, was laid to rest in Wigan. Today just before 1100hrs, I visited his grave, he was only 19 when he died. We will remember them, RIP.
Time to spare, go by air!

I was told that story before our 77 tour when we were NI training, but didn't know the lads name. Nice one for finding his grave.
