  • Guardsman George Hamilton 17th Oct 1971

I first heard of George at the St Pauls service.
My wife, quite out of the blue turned to me and said " my mums cousin was killed in Northern Ireland"
She had not mentioned it before as she was very young when it happened and her family did not speak of it much. She cried a bit for a family member she never got to meet. Since then we pay our tributes at tree 382 in the Ash grove.
To cousin George i have known of you for a short while.....but will never forget.
He was buried with military honours and the pipes playing at Port Ellen on the Isle of Islay.

    May you Rest in peace.
