On the 17th August 1972 my Section Commander and my dear friend Corporal Mick Boddy was killed by a sniper in the Lower Falls Belfast, it was my first tour and a day I will never forget.

I place NIVA cross`s on his and Pte Brian Sheridan`s graves and the memorial in the Cathedral garden when I go to the UK usually in September, not sure if I will make it this year tho.
