Interesting, the REME capbadge appears to bear the Kings crown, ie pre 1953 and before the troubles started, allthough I was repeatedly chastized for wearing such circa badge, at least it polished up better than staybright. (it was finally relieved from my personage in 1989 by someone from the WFR, never did catch the bastard)
