    Sergeant John Haughey

Sergeant John Haughey of 156 Battery, 94 Locating Regiment, Royal Regiment of Artillery
    21 January 1974. Londonderry.

Sergeant Haughey was leading a foot patrol in the Bogside area of Londonderry. As he was approaching the junction of Lonemoor Road from Stanleys Walk, a bomb, which had been hidden behind a telephone junction box exploded. Sergeant Haughey died of his injuries.

John Haughey was 32 years old, married with three children. Highly thought of by all who met him, he was in all respects, a gentleman.

    RIP.

Jock, I've updated Sgt. Haughey's Roll of Honour details with your entry, hope this is OK with you, the more detail we remember the better.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
