Lt Col ID Corden-Lloyd OBE MC

17th of February 1978. Thirty nine years ago the CO perished in a helicopter incident in South Armagh. Now gone for as long as he had lived.

As the sun goes down we will remember them.

I've talked to many RGJ veterans over the years, and the vast majority had nothing but praise and admiration for their old CO. A sad loss for not only the Regiment but for the British Army as a whole.
    Rest easy Sir.

    Gone - Not Forgotten

40 years now since this tragic incident. I remember very well the news coming in to the orderly room. A shock to us all and a great loss to the battalion and the army in general.
