Gdsm Brian Hall (22) SG 4 October 1971 Kirkaldy Cemetery, Kirkaldy. Could not find as I did not take the date with me, will try tomorrow.

L/Sgt Thomas McKay (29) SG 28 October 1972 Hayfield Cemetery, Kirkaldy. Row D, number 272. Found this grave, grass is cut by grounds staff regularly. Photos below:DSCN9903.jpg DSCN9902.jpg DSCN9904.jpg

The flower pot looked liked it had not been used for sometime, so I went to the supermarket and bought a heather plant to show he is not forgotten

WO1 John Newton (41) RE 24 June 1975 Culross Cemetery, By Dunfermline.

Cpl John Aikman (25) RCS 6 November 1973 Newbattle Cemetery, Newtongrange.
L/Cpl Alister Stewart (21) REME 9 October 1974 North Berwick Cemetery. (Near Dunbar)

If you check the county of Strathclyde, you will find many but they may be too far out of your way. Same goes for Newtowngrange as that is in Mid Lothian. Whatever you can get mate will be a bonus.
Will try Kirkcaldy again tomorrow, Arbroath if I am lucky as well. Berwick on Friday.

Well done mucker. Should have thought and sent you some NIVA poppy cross stickers but there wasn't time really.

Hi, I went to Arbroath this afternoon, to try and find Gdsm George Lockhart, but there was no one there to help me so I walked around the cemetery for over 2 hours but could not find him - Sorry.

That made it too late to go back to Kirkcaldy for Gdsm Brian Hill and to Dumfermline for WO1 John Newton.....

But I did find a SSgt Alister Malcolm age 33 died 19/07/2001, no mention of how he died? Also there was a grave of a USMC soldier, died in the early 2000s, he was a young lad. There were also several RAF and a couple of soldiers who died in the WW2...

I should be able to get to North Berwick tomorrow.

Next Monday, I will be in Liverpool for a couple of days. Then the week after I will be at Stockton on Tees, Whitby and Harrowgate.
Let me know if this will help.
    Cheers and sorry.

Nothing to apologise for mate. There have been days when I've gone looking for a particular grave and come up empty handed. Unless we are in possession of an exact location .... grave section, number etc, a lot of it is down to luck.

Took me two visits to find one grave and it was in s*** state, onwards and upwards, it’s a really satisfying thing to do.
Visit tree 49/189 @ the NMA and say hello.
