    Died 11th March 1980 aged 19 and buried in Barnsley cemetery, South Yorkshire.

          I was on about the left hand side about half way up. Those chips don't look like erosion to me G.

              Defo no vandalism, you can always come and have a look yourself... When I go back I'll borrow a decent camera as all these were taken on my BlackBerry and in bright sunlight.

                      Could be frost damage Jock. On1on seems happy that it is natural wear and tear. Let's hope so. Otherwise it appears to be in good nick, unlike so many others that we see.

                            It was the anniversary of Cpl Bannister the other day and I missed it. His is the nearest burial of our fallen so I must nip over there myself soon.
