  • C/Sgt John Michael Morrell

On 24th Oct 1972, my lovely brother died from critical injuries he received 10 days earlier from a booby trap bomb, in Armagh.
We will never be the same as we were before this loss, but we are so grateful for having someone so special, to lose.
    Rest peacefully Michael. x
In memory of Colour Sergeant John Michael Morrell - my big brother, my hero.

        Never forgotten.
Be who you are and say what you feel...
Because those that matter, don't mind.
And those that mind, don't matter!

I was actually in Londonderry then, Fort George, strange how little news of anything not in our immediate area got to us. Always remembered Doris, we honour them.

Thanks for you kind comments. Today I have placed a poppy on his grave, I as do every year, it doesn't get any easier does it. I am pleased to be going down to london for this year's Rememberence Day parade, which I am really looking forward to, especially as it's the 100th anniversary year.

It was good to see how well John's resting place is being looked after Dorisc, you take care now and I'm sure that the experience of attending the Cenotaph will be a lasting memory, even if it makes you weep some more. RIP C/Sgt John Michael Morrell RIP all the Fallen
