    1st Battalion, The Light Infantry

Pte Thomas Albert Stoker, 18, single, from Wakefield, Yorkshire

"He died in hospital after being shot by a colleague in the Ardoyne, two months earlier on July 29th.
It emerged at his inquest that Pte Stoker had been in a covert OP in an un-occupied house in Berwick Road. A soldier in an adjacent room discharged a round from his weapon while fixing a telescopic sight to it.
The round went through a wall and struck the Pte in the back.
Pte Stoker had been in N. Ireland for two days when he was shot."

    (taken from 'Lost Lives')

    Rest easy, son.
