8th Bn. Ulster Defence Regiment – C Coy (Part Time)

IRA gunmen disguised as ambulance men shot him dead as he arrived for work at Drumglass Hospital in Dungannon. The gunmen had already held a female captive overnight in Cookstown as they prepared to use her car. As he arrived for work the gunmen shot him in the head and chest at point-blank range as he sat in his car. He was single and Off Duty at the time of his murder.
