    Pte Herbert Silcock UDR who died on this day in 1976 he was born on the 05 August 1921 in Hillsborough, Co Down. He was 54. He was one of N Ireland's men who put on the Queens Uniform in Ulsters dark days.


    L/Cpl Wayne Makin RRF died on this day in 1983. He was born on the 07 September 1960 he came from Oldham . He was 22 years of age when he died. He lays to rest at Greenacres Cemetery in Oldham.


    Pte Thomas Leckey UDR who died on this day in 1986. He was 51 years of age. He was born on the 01 April 1934. He came from Belfast another of Ulsters proud sons who put duty first.

    Sadly I do not know how this 3 men died but they were on duty and wearing the Queens Uniform .

    We shall remember them .

            On 3rd January 1980 at 12.20pm two gunmen entered the garage owned by Reserve Constable Crilly, aged 60, at Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh where they shot and fatally injured him.
