    1972
    On 28th November 1972 at 9.25am the joint RUC GC and British Army base at Belleek County Fermanagh was attacked from across the border in the Republic of Ireland, during the attack several rocket propelled grenades were fired at the station. One rocket penetrated steel shutters and Constable Keys, aged 55, was fatally injured by the missile.

    1981
    On 28th November 1981 at 12.10pm police were at Unity Flats, Peter's Hill, Belfast when an explosive device was detonated behind a corrugated metal fence close to a Landrover, Constable Coulter, aged 23, was fatally injured in the explosion.
