Today I stood, with others, on a chill windy corner. It is one of those ocasions when every strand of the community comes together for one purpose and one purpose only...to honour those who gave up their lives.
Whether the war/conflict in which they died was justified or necessary is irrelevant. It is not a question the dead and injured ask themselves - they just do it and will continue to do so. They quitted themselves with honour and valour and are worth a hundredfold the time I stood there today...we went to honour them but I too came away honoured and grateful for the liberty, so dearly won, to stand there in freedom and hope.
We will never forget.

In Memory Terence

In memory of my dear brother Terence and all those who lost their lives and have been injured.

I was at the memorial service at the Aboretum yesterday. It was a very moving service.
