I would like to just say something about our 'Remembrance' here on this forum.

It is important that we put those four words up on these pages for every man and woman who make the supreme sacrifice for us back here, back home, and those of us who served and survived. On every anniversary of the death of a fallen comrade, we will remember.
When we do this, when we take the time to write those four words down on this forum we have that fallen comrade in our hearts if not clearly in our minds.
If we don't do it, who will.
In the future these pages will be accessible to someone, somewhere. Even if this forum fades in the far future there will be archived copies of these pages on servers all over the world. The Internet has given us the opportunity to make those four words mean something real to others beside ourselves. For the first time in history we can say those words with the absolute certainty that we are doing exactly what we say we are doing.
Every entry is important and is worth doing.

                          Dropping Well Pub.Explosion.

I would just like to mention a good mate of mine who was also killed in the Dropping Well Pub.

He was Cpl Dave Salthouse, section commander,7pl C Coy,3rd Light Infantry. Dave joined 7pl after serving many years as a clerk, he did however,in no time at all pick up the skills of being a section commander and went on to lead a team in N.I.

The last time I saw Dave alive was in Cyprus,1980/81ish and he was thriving in his new role.

                          He was a good man.
